Mr. P’s Brit Pop Persuasion perform music that is upbeat and danceable, featuring original tunes penned by guitarist/frontman Robi Polgar. Their music references the post-punk revolution of the 1980s in the UK.

The band is a veritable “Who’s Who” of area musical talent, recently cobbled together by Mr. P, who himself is newly arrived in Glastonbury after 30-plus years living and performing in Austin, TX. The rhythm section is driven by drummer Tom Nelson (Colchester, CT) and bassist Jen Wang (Glastonbury, CT), with keyboard stylings by John Yannis, Esq. (Colrain, MA). Keen historians will note that John and Robi performed as two-thirds of the Boston rock band Lower Wacker Drive in the 1980s before Mr. P. decamped to Texas.
