Where do the Summer Concerts take place?

The Summer Concerts on the Square take place on Besty Paterson Square in Downtown Storrs. Please see Directions & Parking for more information.

Do I need a ticket?

The Summer Concerts on the Square are free and open to everyone - no ticket needed!

Can children attend?

The Summer Concerts on the Square are open to all ages. Children are welcome to attend with an adult. We ask that everyone be respectful of other audience members and refrain from throwing balls, frisbees, and other items. If you are looking for more active play opportunities for your chilld(ren), you may be interested in visiting the Mansfield Community Playground, which is located right next to the Mansfield Community Center (10 S. Eagleville Road).

Can I bring food?

You are welcome to bring your own food or to visit one of our great restaurants in Downtown Storrs. You are responsible for properly disposing of any recyclables or trash; receptacles are provided.

Is seating provided?

Limited seating is available on Betsy Paterson Square, and you are welcome to bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Please be respectful of other concert-goes when setting up your blanket or chair.

Is alcohol allowed?

No. Alcohol is prohibited ob Betsy Paterson Square. All Town of Mansfield ordinances are in place and enforced.

Can I smoke on the Square?

No. All tobacco products and uses are prohibited on Betsy Paterson Square, including chewing tobacco and all vaping. All Town of Mansfield ordinances are in place and enforced.

What happens if it rains?

The rain date for each performance is the following Tuesday. Follow @DowntownStorrs on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for updates and weather announcements.

Who runs the concerts?

The Mansfield Downtown Partnership, working with the Town of Mansfield, produces the Summer Concerts on the Square with the support of our sponsors.

Who do I contact about my band?

If you would like your band to be considered for the Summer Concerts on the Square, please email Kathleen Paterson, Senior Communications Manager for the Mansfield Downtown Partnership. We are particularly interested in bands performing their own original music.
